Dogs are our cherished family members, yet they are neither mind readers nor are they born knowing the rules of a human household. By following certain principles, we can achieve virtually any training goal smoothly and with less stress for both dog and human.

We believe in:

  • Teaching dogs what we want them TO do and setting things up to keep them out of trouble as they learn
  • Making training enjoyable for both dog and owner
  • Coaching you to train your dog to your own goals, rather than training your dog for you, so you can learn to train and problem solve on your own
  • Making sure we ourselves never stop learning, staying up to speed on the latest science of training and best tools of the trade

At Good Dog "U", we care deeply about our clients and are committed to helping them  reach their goals with their dogs through gentle, thoughtful, professional coaching and  quality  information. We use a variety of force-free, dog- and people-friendly training  techniques, all  of which are based on the modern science of how dogs and humans learn.  Toys, food and,  importantly, life-rewards are all part of the motivational training process. A  solid, trusting  relationship between dog and owner is both cornerstone and by-product of  this training  approach.
