Good Dog "U", LLC provides in–home new  puppy guidance consultations and lessons to  address housetraining, chewing, biting,  socialization, handling, house manners and to  introduce basic obedience skills. We also offer  puppy preparedness consults to help with  puppy selection, planning and set-up before  puppy's arrival.

 "Fall Training Workshops at VCO!"

Come join Mary Horne, CPDT, Certified Trainer and Behavior Counselor, and VCO staff for these fun, hands-on training events.

Time: 5 - 6 pm

Sign up inside store.  Please note: these workshops fill quickly, so please sign up early and pay in advance to guarantee your spot!

Please bring a hungry dog (don’t feed dinner, if necessary) and PLENTY of small (pea-sized), soft, easily swallowed treats to class, or pick some up at the store!

Monday, September 15th   "Off on the Right Paw!" For puppies 10 to 20 weeks old; Cost: $25/team

Come teach your puppy some basic skills, including SIT, STAY & COME.  This is a hands-on, active workshop, so bring a hungry, well-rested puppy, plenty of treats, and come prepared to work!  We'll also give you written materials on puppy matters like housetraining and nipping.  Requirements: a healthy, hungry puppy.  (Also offered on 10/1)

Wednesday, September 17th  “Gracious Greetings” For overly friendly dogs of all ages  Cost: $25/team

Does your dog jump on people?  Maul visitors with affection?  Jump to greet you when you come home?  Come teach your dog how to sit politely to say hello to anyone, at any time.  With owner awareness and perseverance, any dog can learn to be a gracious greeter.  Requirements:  a hungry, food-motivated dog

Monday, September 22nd  “Come Walk with Me!” (Or, "Don't lead, don't follow; just walk beside me and be my friend!")  For friendly dogs of all ages  Cost: $25/team

Does your dog pull on lead?  If so, this workshop is for you!  We'll show you several different techniques to help you teach your dog to walk politely and behave well on leash. And for those inveterate pullers, we'll give you some different equipment suggestions to help you get on track.  Requirements: a hungry, food-motivated dog
